
To kick off 2020, Female Founders Fund is hosting a discussion on Wednesday January 15th with industry experts Kellyn Grantham from Target and Betsy Bluestone from P&G Ventures to discuss the exciting spaces and categories large consumer goods companies are tracking - ranging from sustainability and skincare, to sleep and sexual health.
Kellyn has spent the last 7 years at Target focused on acquisitions, investments, and partnerships, including deals like DermStore, Cooking.com, and BaubleBar.
Betsy is the Global Director of Discovery & Scouting at P&G Ventures and has spent the last 20+ years at P&G focusing on partnerships, acquisitions, and innovation in categories like luxury and mass beauty, health care, feminine care and household needs.
Betsy Bluestone is the Commercial Discovery Leader for P&G Ventures where she sources brands, technology, capabilities and talent for P&G’s startup studio. Within Ventures, Betsy works with some of the world’s most innovative thinkers, scientists, digital marketers and entrepreneurs to create brands in new business categories for P&G. She has 20+ years of sales and brand management experience, and has a track record of success across channels, geographies, billion dollar brands, start-ups and acquisitions. Having worked throughout the P&G brand portfolio, she has breadth of experience in luxury & mass beauty, health care, feminine care and household needs. With a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship inside and out of P&G, she is a dedicated advocate and mentor for female founders and founders of color. Betsy is a true believer and driving contributor to P&G’s commitment to being a force for good and growth.
Kellyn joined Target in 2012 as an integral role within the Company’s Business Development Team. The Business Development team leads Target’s M&A activity, as well as the negotiation, structure and execution of the organization’s strategic partnerships and investments. In her tenure at Target, Kellyn has executed over a dozen deals, across varying deal types including acquisitions, divestitures, wind-downs, and investments. Examples include the sale of Target’s Pharmacy business to CVS for $1.9Bn and Target’s $75M investment in Casper Mattress. Prior to joining Target, Kellyn was part of General Mills’ Financial Leadership Development Program, focused most heavily within the Company’s Corporate Development function. During her tenure there, she led acquisition activity for several business units and managed the completion of multiple deals including brand acquisitions and business unit divestitures.
